What would you do if you arrived in Sydney with a suitcase, $500 and no guarantee that things would work out? 
For Aaron Bost, it became the beginning of a remarkable journey. 
At 24, Aaron moved from the United States to Australia with just $500. What followed was a series of unexpected jobs, difficult moments, bold decisions and opportunities that eventually took him into technology, GitHub and an Asia-Pacific career before leading him into entrepreneurship and AI. 
But this conversation with Dominic Siow is about much more than career success. 
Aaron shares how a teacher sparked his childhood imagination about Japan, why he learned to listen when life seemed to be sending him a signal, what working across cultures in Asia taught him about respect and trust, and how becoming a father changed his definition of success. 
He also reflects on his family history, the idea of hope across generations, and what it means to make the most of the freedom and choices we have today.

In this episode of the Inspiring Leadership Podcast, Dominic Siow sits down with Devendra Kumar, whose early life began with abandonment and life in the slums of New Delhi, and who later went on to found Ladli Foundation Trust, an organisation dedicated to protecting and empowering girls and women from underserved communities.
